Once again the Government of Alberta is being criticized for how it is mismanaging the Grizzly Bear species in our Province! To read an article entitled, A vision for grizzly bears which was written by Hamish MacLean and published in the Canmore Leader newspaper please click on the following link:

I find these two sentences to be the most pertinent in this article:
"There are 700 grizzly bears in Alberta. And there are seven sub-populations that are being further fragmented. The grizzly bear recovery plan, enacted in 2008, is proof, Gailus said, that the Alberta government is unwilling or unable to help grizzly bears in the province."
What do these statements say about the Political leaders of this province?? How can they allow a species which has lived here thousands of years before humans did, to become so fragmented in their population (due to human activity such as forestry and oil exploration and oil extraction), that the survival of the species is now seriously threatened with extinction??
Please show you care about the Grizzly bears by sending a letter, an email, or a phone call to the new Premier of Alberta, Alison Redford by clicking on her contact page at the Alberta Government website below. Demand that her and her Government show that they care about the Grizzly bears by having them develop plans which will keep the Grizzly bears of this province from being fragmented any further in their population, and by stopping Big Oil and Big Forestry from damaging the habitat these bears have lived in for centuries! Thank you on behalf of the Grizzly bears of this Province!
