According to an article entitled, "Alberta Wilderness Association calls for 5-year suspension on grizzly bear hunt", which you can read by clicking on the following link: http://www.globaltoronto.com/Alberta+Wilderness+Association+calls+year+suspension+grizzly+bear+hunt/4529910/story.html
it has been revealed to me (and to everyone who read this article) that each and every year the Government of Alberta actually considers whether or not to allow hunters to hunt endangered species in the province! The writer of this article and yours truly want to know why members of the Ruling Progressive Conservative party of Alberta would even consider such a thing! The fact that members of the PC party are actually considering removing an endangered species desgnation from some Alberta wildlife species speaks volumes about how much these elected members of our Provincial ruling Government care about the Wildlife in this Province! Who is educating these politicians (if anyone) regarding which species in Alberta are endangered and what the population numbers of these endangered species are in the Province? How accurately are the populations of these endangered species being counted to ensure that their numbers are sufficient to prevent their species from becoming extinct in this province?
The residents of this province want to know!
