The fifth game of the 2011 FIDE Candidates Final between Boris Gelfand and Alexander Grischuk was played today in Kazan. The players fought for 39 moves before agreeing to a draw. This draw result means the score in the match is now 2.5-2.5 with game 6 of the match being played tomorrow!
Sadly, if the game tommorrow ends in a draw, the players will have to use a tie-break involving rapid chess and possibly blitz chess to determine who will be the next challenger to World Chess Champion Vishy Anand! Here are the moves from today's game.I will post analysis of this game later:
