2011 FIDE Candidates Semi-final matches:Game 4:both games drawn

The fourth games of the two matches were played today. Both games ended in draws.Kramnik and Grischuk drew their game in 48 moves. Kramnik had the white pieces in this game and started by playing his usual 1.Nf3 the game transposed into a "English Opening". In the other semi-final, Boris Gelfand played 1.d4 2.c4 and Kamsky again chose to defend with a Grunfeld Defense. Once again Gelfand chose to play the 4.Bg5 line he had played the last time he had the white pieces. The two players decided for an early peace and drew their game in 23 moves. These draws mean that both matches are tied after 4 games with identical scores of  2-2. Now the matches will be decided by the dreaded "tie-break" rapid chess games. These tie-breaks will be played tommmorow in Kazan.The winners will then have a 2 day rest before they begin the final to see who will play World Chess Champion Anand in the next FIDE World Chess Championship.
