I have analyzed another Grandmaster chess game for my blog! This game comes from the recent 3rd Lublin Union Memorial Tournament which was played in Lublin, Poland from May 15th-May 31st and won by Grandmaster Alexei Shirov of Spain. The game I have analyzed includes Shirov as one of the participants. In this analyzed game he plays white against GM Evgeny Alekseev. What is amazing about this game is that GM Shirov plays the King's Gambit opening. He plays a very interesting tactical game which lands him in trouble. However due to errors by GM Alekseev, Shirov is able to come back and win the game in an amazing fashion! I hope you enjoy playing through this analysis. GM Shirov is currently the 32nd highest-rated player in the World with an elo of 2709. GM Alekseev currently has a elo rating of 2673 which makes him the 70th-highest-rated player in the World. I had the World's strongest chess program, Deep Rybka 4.1x64 analyze this game for 1 hour in analysis mode to help me analyze this game. You can also find this analysis on page one of my blog in the Chessviewer Deluxe game index at the bottom of the page as game #28.
