Grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi (pictured) has won the 2010 Superfinal of Russian Chess in a playoff over Grandmaster Sergey Karjakin. The two had finished regulation play with scores of six points and then entered a blitz playoff to decide the champion, which was won by Nepomniachtchi.

5-6 Vityugov, Malakhov - 5.5 points, 7-10. Tomaszewski, Kurnosov, Potkin,
